Galaxy Series Hopper Window

Tilts in from the top to bring light and air to basements.

Why Homeowners Choose Hopper Windows

Hopper windows tilt inward from the top. They’re the go-to choice for basements and other tight spots that need light and fresh air.

Energy Efficient Glass Pack

Our ERG™ Energy Reflective Glass uses 11 microscopically thin performance layers to block damaging heat while letting clear, bright light through.

  • Longer-lasting durability: barrier layers protect the window structure.
  • Year-round comfort: reflective layers keep summer heat out and winter warmth in.
  • Maximum clarity: anti-reflective coatings provide a crystal-clear view.

Frequently Asked Questions

What insulation is inside the frames?

Every frame has a core of Silver-Grey Neopor® insulation by BASF. Graphite particles in the foam reflect radiant heat, and unlike ordinary foam, its insulating value rises as the temperature drops, so it works hardest on the coldest days. It also resists moisture, which helps prevent mold and rot.

How are the frames reinforced?

Many vinyl windows use metal inserts, which carry heat and cold right through the frame. Galaxy frames use INNERGY® fiberglass-reinforced composite inserts instead, with up to 700 times better thermal performance than aluminum, plus better condensation resistance and impact strength.

What kind of glass do you use?

Along with the ERG™ glass described above, the outer pane has a multi-layer soft-coat Low-E coating, and the space between the panes is filled with insulating argon gas.

What is a warm-edge spacer?

The spacer is the strip that separates and seals the panes of glass. Ours is the Duralite® warm-edge spacer, which contains no metal, so the edge of the glass stays warmer and less prone to condensation. Together with the Low-E coating and argon gas, it cuts heat loss by more than 75% compared to standard double-pane glass.

How is each window sealed?

Each window is custom-made for your opening. Factory-applied insulation wraps the entire frame, expandable insulation fills every gap during installation, and a double bead of silicone seals the window inside and out.
